Tonia's Macrame: Berry Knot Necklace

Years ago if someone told me that I should try to make money with a hobby that I was good at, I would tell them that I'd rather keep my hobby just as it is so I could enjoy it more. Somewhere along the way I forgot that, and I think this may be the reason why I keep jumping from one craft to another. When I found macramé, I was really excited by the many options I had with projects. This time, I'm not going to think about how much money I can make, but just enjoy the macramé for what it is.

Berry Knot Necklace

Well, I finished this next last night, but I'm not sure if I'm 100% happy with it. Click on the picture for more information, you can always return here by hitting your back button on your browser.

My husband said he didn't like the motif at the bottom of the necklace. To tell you the truth, I didn't have a clue what to do, and I just wanted to complete it. I think I may start another one like it, and try to do something different with the motif.

Other then that, it was fun, if not tedious to create the berry knot. I just have to figure out to incorpate it with other knots for a interesting effect. Well, if anything I hope I don't dream about macrame tonight, I need my sleep!

Well, I'm no expert and far be in for me to argue with your hubby, but I kind of like the motif at the end. The angular shape makes it perfect for a v-neck collar.
